Methodology

Last updated August 28, 2026

Every calculation uses the displayed inputs and unit conversions. Efficiency or usable-capacity factors are called out as assumptions.

Real consumption and schedules change, so we avoid meaningless precision and explain ranges and uncertainty. Time calculations use integer minutes and real weekday calendars; results remain planning estimates.

How a result is produced

  1. Convert inputs into consistent base units.
  2. Apply usable capacity, efficiency, and reserves.
  3. Calculate a headline estimate and a realistic range.
  4. Expose assumptions, uncertainty, and cautions.

Avoiding false precision

Internal values retain useful precision, while the interface rounds to a decision-useful level. Calculators with variable consumption never present one number as a guarantee.
