Social-insurance guidance

National Health Insurance

After employee coverage ends, ask NHIS whether regional coverage or dependent status applies.

Continued employee coverage generally requires at least one year of workplace coverage in the prior 18 months and an application before two months pass after the first regional-premium due date; it can last up to 36 months. Compare premiums before choosing.

National Pension

If you are under 60 after workplace coverage ends, ask NPS about regional coverage or a contribution exception and whether a report is due by the 15th of the following month.

Eligible unemployment-benefit recipients may apply for unemployment credit. Exempt months do not automatically count as contribution months, and this calculator does not invent a premium.

How the estimates work

01

Retirement benefit

Uses average daily wage × 30 × service days ÷ 365 as a baseline, while separately showing coverage conditions and missing wage data.

02

Leave and final pay

Uses only confirmed leave days. Final salary is shown as calendar-day and workday methods rather than assuming one universal formula.

03

Unemployment benefit

Explains likelihood from insured days, reason, work availability and evidence. 2026 amount rules apply only to 2026 separations, with the final decision left to the employment center.

Frequently asked questions

Is one full year always enough for severance?

Continuous service and other coverage conditions must be checked together against employment records.

What if each of my last three salaries was different?

Enter each verified gross amount. Statutory exclusions or special periods still require individual review.

Does this calculate statutory leave entitlement?

No. It uses only the unused days you confirm with the employer.

How is a partial final month calculated?

It shows calendar-day and scheduled-workday methods as a range because there is no assumed universal company formula.

Is a voluntary resignation always excluded from benefits?

No. Certain unavoidable circumstances may qualify after an individual review of facts and evidence.

Will the estimated benefit equal the actual payment?

No. The employment center confirms eligibility, wage basis, statutory limits and recognized days.

Why are employer payments and benefits not one total?

They have different payers, conditions and timing. Combining them could overstate cash available now.

How many months could my current cash last after leaving?

Enter cash available now, reliable continuing income, monthly living costs, and a protected reserve. The calculator keeps employer-settlement-only and benefit-inclusive runway separate, and reports when cash is not declining under the inputs.

Are my salary and reason stored on a server?

No. Calculations stay in this browser. Only checklist completion can be stored locally on this device.
