Formula and assumptions
The result estimates how many days of dry food you have left, not how long it stays fresh or how much a cat should eat. If you also feed wet food, reflect that in the average daily dry-food amount.
Why the result can vary
Wet-to-dry ratio, cats taking each other's food, selective eating, feeder dispensing error, growth, and health changes alter actual use.
Example
How long will a 4kg bag last for two cats?
Inputs: 4kg dry food, first cat 55g/day, second cat 45g/day
Outcome: At 100g per day, the bag lasts about 40 days.

What if I feed both wet and dry food?
Enter only actual daily dry-food grams here. Average in the reduction on wet-food days and track wet stock separately.
Can I enter one automatic-feeder ‘portion’?
Feeder outputs differ. Weigh several dispenses, find the average grams per portion, and convert it to daily grams.
What if cats eat from each other's bowls?
Total stock may still fall similarly, but individual intake is unknown. This result is for inventory, not individual feeding control.
How long does a 2kg bag of cat food last?
A 2kg bag contains 2,000g. For example, a combined actual serving of 50g per day lasts 40 days. Add each cat's daily serving when several cats share the food.
