Which Is Cheaper? Unit & Multipack Price Calculator
Compare different pack sizes on the same basis. Enter the price, size and number of items, with shipping and coupons only if needed.
Start calculatingFormula and assumptions
The lowest price for the same quantity is highlighted. Check the total amount paid as well: a bigger pack can have a lower unit price while costing more up front. The comparison also shows the unit-price difference between the cheapest and next-cheapest offers.
Why the result can vary
Only the entered prices, coupons and shipping are included. Quality, concentration, ingredients, shelf life and number of uses are not evaluated. Check coupon eligibility and minimum spend with the retailer, then enter the discount that actually applies. Do not mix currencies or compare weight directly with volume.
Example
Three 500mL bottles versus two 1L bottles
Inputs: Offer A: 500mL × 3 for 9.00. Offer B: 1L × 2 for 11.00. No shipping or coupons.
Outcome: A costs 0.60 per 100mL and B costs 0.55. B is about 8.33% cheaper for the same quantity, while the actual totals paid are 9.00 and 11.00.
Cautions
- Use one currency for all offers. Currency selection changes the display; it does not convert exchange rates.
- Coupons apply only to product prices. For a shipping discount, enter the final shipping charge instead.
- The comparison covers entered costs and quantities, not quality or how much you need.

Frequently asked questions
Should I enter the price per item or for the whole pack?
Enter the whole-pack price before the coupon. For three 500mL bottles sold together for 9.00, enter 9.00, a size of 500mL and 3 items. If the entered price already includes the coupon discount, leave the coupon blank.
Are shipping and coupons required?
No. Expand Shipping and coupons only if needed. Blank amounts count as zero. If you enter them and close the section, those values still apply.
What if a percentage coupon has a discount cap?
Choose Percent off, enter the percentage and optionally add the maximum discount. A 10% coupon on a 20.00 product capped at 1.00 discounts only 1.00. Coupons do not discount shipping.
How do I enter buy-one-get-one-free offers?
Enter the total product price and the number of packs you actually receive. Buy one, get one free means 2 packs; buy two, get one free means 3. For a buy-one-get-one offer on 60-capsule bottles, enter 60 items × 2 packs. If item sizes differ, check the total quantity rather than assuming equal sizes.
Can I compare g with kg or mL with L?
Yes, within the same measurement type. Weight and volume are not directly interchangeable without density, so g and mL cannot be compared here. For item comparison, enter the items per pack and the pack count: 60 capsules × 3 bottles automatically gives 180 capsules.
Do I need to press Compare every time I change a number?
No. After the first successful comparison, changes to prices, sizes, counts, shipping and coupons update the results immediately. Incomplete or invalid inputs hide the previous results until the inputs are valid again. Reset all turns automatic comparison off.
Are coupon discounts rounded?
Percentage coupons use the calculated percentage and cap. Retailers may round or truncate the discount differently. If you know the actual discount, enter it as Amount off.
What happens with equal prices or free products?
Equal unit prices share the lowest-price position. A free product with paid shipping still includes that shipping charge. When comparing a zero-price offer with a paid offer, the result shows a money difference rather than dividing by zero.
